A quick rundown of the events for the next two weeks:
1. Smuin Ballet's Dance Series Two - Sunset Center Carmel (June 10, 2016 – 8pm and June
11, 2016 – 2pm)
This event brings new and some returning works from various world-renowned choreographers and composers. Tickets available on line at Sunset Center.
2. Favorite Fridays Tribute Band Free Concerts -Del Monte Shopping Center (1410 Del Monte Center, Monterey)
Friday June 10 Duran Duran Tribute performed by Duran Duran Duran.

Friday June 24 Chicago Tribute performed by Stealin' Chicago.
3. Triathlon in Pacific Grove - Lover's Point Park, Ocean View Blvd, Pacific Grove
Two days of events: Saturday June 11 - 7:30am start for the Olympic TriathlonCourse, Sunday June 12 - 7:30am start for the 5K and 10K run with an 8:40am start for the Sprint Triathlon Course. Register for the event or come out and watch.
4. 14th Annual Monterey Beer Festival June 11, 2016 - 12:30 to 5pm (Monterey County Fair and Event Center, 2004 Fairground Road)

There will be plenty of food and entertainment as well as
beers from Alaskan Brewing Co., Alvarado Street Brewery, Carlsberg, Dustbowl
Brewing Co., Guinness, Lagunitas Brewing, Stone Brewing, Tap It Brewing, and
Trumer Pils, to name a few, at the 14th annual Monterey Beer Festival.

5. Run in the Name of Love – Carmel by the Sea, Father’s Day
June 19, 2016
The original Run in the Name of Love was held in
Charlottesville, VA, as a benefit memorializing Brian James Love, of Carmel, CA
who died in a snowboarding accident in 2005. Though Brian’s mother, Susan Love, has traveled to the university to lead the
students in the race every year of its existence she wanted to bring the
race to Carmel. Now in its 6th year Run in
the Name of Love raises money for the Just Run Big Sur International Marathon’s youth fitness program and encourages all participants to run in the name of someone they
love as well. There are three races: 5K, 2K
and Dog Walk 2K. Beginning at Sunset Center, all take place in
beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea. For race

6. 35th Annual Carmel Heritage Society House and
Garden Tour – June 25, 2016 (1pm to 5pm)
Have you ever wanted to go behind the gates of some of
Carmel-by-the-Sea’s historic homes? This
is your opportunity. Eight homes will be
open. The Dune’s, built
in 1846, The First Brick House built in 1898, The Charles Sumner
Greene Studio, Villa Scimmia build by M. J. Murphy, Curtain Calls built by Hugh
Comstock, the Frank Lloyd Wright House built in 1952, the Church of the
Wayfarer, and First Murphy House which showcases the brand new exhibit Carmel
Then/Now. Tickets are available on line
at Carmel Heritage.
7. Bacon Fest Monterey June 25, 2016 and June 26, 2016 - 11am to 6pm (Monterey County Fair and Event Center, 2004 Fairground Road)
It is all about bacon as vendors at the Bacon Fest feature
food made with bacon as the main ingredient and the BaconBar serves Bacon Margaritas
and Bacon Bloody Marys. Chef Todd Fisher of Tarpy’s Roadhouse and host of TV’s
United States of Bacon as well as Chef Tony Baker of Bakers Bacon will be
serving up bacon culinary masterpieces all day.
There will also be a great line up of bands and performers at the Garden
