A big thank you to Mr. Eastwood, the Centennial Committee, and all those who had a hand in last weekends birthday bash, parade, luncheon, and street dance.
Our centennial parade weekend may be history, but there is still time to pick up the 20 page one-hundred year condensed history of Carmel, A Village in a Pine Forest: Carmel-by-the-Sea.
This professionally produced brochure compiled by local authors Kathryn Gualtieri and Lynn A. Momboisse for the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea summarizes Carmel's unique history in text and photos. It is a perfect keepsake and sure to be treasured by Carmelites and visitors alike.
It is available for $5 at the Carmel Visitors Center daily 10am to 6pm (new location on the second floor in the Carmel Plaza ), Carmel City Hall Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm (Monte Verde between Ocean and Seventh), Carmel Farmers Market on Sixth behind Devendorf every Thursday from 10am to 1pm, the Centennial Web store, and First Murphy House home to Carmel Heritage Society Tuesday - Saturday 12pm to 3pm.
Until next time Happy Adventures!
